Available for pre-order, and shipping from September, LEO is perfect for learning about mechanical design, 3D design, electronics and programming, all in a single package, making NextGen LEO a Learning Experience Opportunity.
NextGen LEO is based on our larger GREG Robot, with a similar motor control system, but with some key changes.
LEO uses an entirely RC servo motor based motion system, meaning it is plug and play with additional motors, making it easy to customise and adapt. What’s more, with upgrade kits or your own 3D printer and parts, you can easily add to LEO. The included firmware comes preloaded with wrist and finger motions, making creating these simple.
Speaking of firmware, it is Arduino Compatible and Open Source, meaning you can modify it and you can write your own.
Want to try something different to scripting languages? Free slider-based DMX software is included, allowing for creating complex motions in just minutes.
LEO is manufactured out of high quality CNC aluminium parts, proving durability and a premium experience compared to other kits. The humanoid form factor is designed to engage students to develop new use cases and ideas.

NextGen LEO can be controlled over USB or DMX, which, together with free software, allows you you control your robot using timeline like programming, allowing you to build scenes and actions.
